Shaykh Saalih Bin Fawzaan al-Fawzaan was asked about those who say that one should not refute al-mukhaalif (the one who opposed something of Ahl us-Sunnah) nor Ahl ul-Bida? (the people of innovations) because doing so divides the Ummah.
The Shaykh confirmed the manhaj of Ahl us-Sunnah wal-Jamaa?ah (and that of Shaykh Rabee?, Shaykh Faalih, Shaykh ?Ubayd, and others from the Scholars of the Sunnah) with regards to this issue and brought extensive proof showing how Allaah Himself refuted al-mukhaalifoon in His Mighty Book. He also explained how refuting al-mukhaalif unites the Ummah and does not divide it, as is the speech of Ikhwaan and other than them from the deviant sects. He further stressed how the Ummah cannot unite upon other than guidance and the correct way.
