As Salaamu 'Alaikum ...
Would the administrations of the Salafee Masaajid and Maraakiz here in the United States post their announcements for the beginning of Ramadhaan here on ST? I believe that this would be quite helpful, in-shaa'Allaah.
As for Masjid Al-Awwal here in Pittsburgh, PA, then we are following local sighting in accordance with the fataawaa of Shaikh Wasee Allaah 'Abbaas (www.bakkah.net) and Imaam Ibn 'Uthaimeen (www.fatwa-online.com). Here in Pittsburgh, it is rainy, foggy and the sky is very much overcast, so we doubt that we will be able to see the moon, wa Allaahu 'alam.
As for those masaajid and maraakiz who are also observing local sighting, please do share your announcements, baaraka Allaahu feekum.
