Bismillaah Al-Hamdulillaah wa salatu wa salaamu 'ala rasulullaah Amma ba'd Some Scholarly Benefits of Fiqh Regarding the Salat
| quote: |
Question: Should those following the Imaam in the prayer say the Tasleem out loud or to themselves? |
| Al-'Allaamah 'Abdul-Muhsin al-'Abbaad al-Badr...(hafidhahullaah) answered: | quote: |
"No, those who are following the Imaam in the prayer should say the Tasleem silently to themselves, just like the rest of what they say behind the Imaam such as, 'Rabbanaa lakal-Hamd,' and the rest of the Takbeeraat of moving from pillar to pillar...na'am." |

Question: When the Imaam pronounces Takbeerat-ul-Ihram (saying: "Allaahu Akbar" upon begining Prayer), the Ma'mums (those led by an Imaam in Prayer) pronounce "Allaahu Akbar" audibly. As for the rest of the Takbeers in Salah (Prayer), they do not do so. Is pronouncing Takbeerat-ul-Ihram audibly behind the Imaam permissible or not? |
| The Permanent Committee for Scholarly Research and Ifta' Answered: | quote: |
It is desirable for the Imaam to raise his voice each time he pronounces Takbeer, so that those behind him will hear. As for the Ma'mums, it is desirable for them Not to raise their voices during any of the Takbeers; they should utter it only to themselves. The raising of the voice by the Ma'mums is even considered a Bid'ah (rejected innovation in religion), and the Prophet (salallaahu 'alaihi wa salam) stated: | quote: |
Whoever introduces something into this affair of ours that is not of it, it is to be rejected. |

Question: Which is better as far as the Sunnah is concerned; saying Takbeer before going down to prostrate or while going down? |
| The Permanent Committee for Scholarly Research and Ifta' Answered: | quote: |
Takbeers should be uttered in the transitional periods between acts of Salah. May Allaah grant us success! May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and Companions! |

Question: When we say aameen in the prayer behind the Imaam, should we elongate or not? |
| Shaykh 'Ubayd al-Jaabiree (hafidhahullaah) answered: | quote: |
Na'am, aameen should be elongated. |

* Shaikh al-Albaanee (rahimahullaah) said: | quote: |
The aameen of the congregation behind the Imaam should be done loudly and simultaneously with the Imaam, Not before him as the majority of worshippers do, nor after him. This is what I finally find most convincing, as I have explained in some of my works, among them Silsilat al-ahaadeeth ad-da`eefah (no. 952, vol. 2) which has been printed and published by the grace of Allaah, and Saheeh at-Targheeb wat-Tarheeb (1/205). See Appendix 6. |

Subhanak Allaahuma wa bihamdika ash-hadu anlaa illaaha illa anta astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayk If I said anything correct, then it is from Allaah (subhanahu wa taa'ala), and if I erred, then that is from me and shaytan.

Additional Benefit: There are four occasions when the follower says something aloud in the prayer, based on authentic and clear evidences: 1) The ta'meen (saying Aameen) with the imaam. 2) The tableegh (saying the takbeers behind the imaam to convey them to the back rows) done by one person, only when needed, preferably selected by the imaam. 3) Al-Fat-h 'alal-imaam: Prompting or correcting the recitation of the imaam. 4) The tas-beeh when the imaam has erred, saying "subhaan Allaah" to alert him about a mistake in the pillars of the prayer. Aside from these four exceptions, the follower remains silent in his prayer, and completes all the thikr of the prayer silently to himself, moving his lips, without raising his voice, as is clear from the words of the scholars above. And Allaah knows best. Moosaa ibn John Richardson ******************** ıııııı ııııı ıııııı ıııı ııı ııı ııı ııı ııııııı ııııı ıııı
