DOES ANYONE KNOW OF ANY BROTHERS STAYING IN CAIRO??? AS A BROTHER FROM CARDIFF IS LOOKING TO TRAVEL THERE AND WOULD LIKE TO LINK UP WITH THE SALAFIS THERE.

I know some brothers there in Cairo one his name is Abu Aasiyah Muhammad im quite sure majority of the brothers here at SalafiTalk.net know of him
and also a brother by the name of 'Abdul Kareem al- Hijaazi i will P.M you there e- mails inshaallahu t'aala. They both have an affiliation with the Al-Ibaanah Arabic Institute there in Cairo www.ibaanah.com..
As for studying, there are some Tazkiyaat from the 'Ulemaa one being from Al- Allamah Muhammad As- Subayyal (Hafeedhahullah) the question was asked about who to study with there in Egypt: And he said there is group by the name of Ansaar as Sunnah who are known to be upon the Manhaj of the Salaf As- Saalih.. as for Ansaar as Sunnah the Mudeer is Shaykh Hasan bin Abdulwahab al- Banna (Hafeedhahullah).. and also from Al- Allamah Muhammad bin Abdulwahab al- Banna (Hafeedhahullah) a similar question was asked from Al- Akh Hasan Sumaalee some time ago on 'Ilm Online with the Shaykh and we also asked recently here in Cleveland, Oh and he advised us to go and study with his brother Hasan bin Abdulwahab al- Banna (Hafeedhahullah)...
And recently the Tazkiyah from Al- Allamah Al- Muhaddith Rabee ibn Haadee al Madkhalee (Hafeedhahullah) to Shaykh Abu 'Abdul A'ala Khaalid bin Muhammad 'Uthmaan (Hafeedhahullah) his link; http://www.sahab.ws/5347/ and also the website for the Salafiyoon in Egypt; http://www.sahab.ws/5161.
You can find all the Tazkiyaat there and also on Sahab.net and also all the Rudood on Ahlul Bida' wal Ahwaa in Egypt on those sites too..

Wa alaykumuss salam
I live in Cairo, Midinatun Nasr. I been out here for three weeks now and I heard of brothers out here but I've been busy. there are Salafi brothers in Al rehab. But most of the Arabic schools are in Midina Nasr. I'm sttll doing researh While I study. I'll keep you informed of my findings. If you want my info PM me and I'll help the brother with what I possible of doing.
they have a free arabic school free for the sisters
and some of the markezs have schalorships for free and for discounts.
for who ever comes out here have a pure intention for the deen because you will get what you intend for.

Also, we would be pleased to know that Shaikh Muhammad Al-Banna (hafizahullaah) recently (20-May-2005) visited Masjid Ansar-us-Sunnah in Damanhoor, Misr where Shaikh Mahmood Lutfi 'Aamir (hafizahullaah) currently resides and heads that branch of Ansar-us-Sunnah, Misr. The shaikh was accompanied by his brother Shaikh Hassan Al-Banna, Shaikh Abu Al-Yameen al-Mansooree, Al-Akh Abu 'Abdul-'Alaa, Al-Akh Abu 'Abbaas and others. May Allaah preserve them all.

Perhaps the brothers (mentioned in this thread) who are in Cairo will be able to connect with Shaikh Hassan if they have not yet been able to. As for Shaikh Mahmood, he visits Cairo sometimes and I know that he would be very happy to meet with the brothers who love and co-operate upon the Sunnah, wa lillaahi al-hamd.

as-salaamu 'alaykum
I will be coming to Egypt from September 10th to October 18th inshaa Allaah. I will be staying in maser al-jadidah. I think from what I remember that Shaykh Hasan ibn Abdul-Wahhab has a halaqa on wednesday or thursdays after ishaa at a masjid in maser al-jadidah. I posted the times and masjid location in some other thread talking about egypt.
As a brother said above, there is a lot of brothers living in Rehab and from my exp. living there, that it is a very nice city and very safe. I hope you find your stay in egypt benefitiual and may allaah increase you in ilm.

inshallah my dad is taking me on holiday to luxor soon as I have two questions:
1 Is it permissable for me to visit pagan sites if it is just to have a look at it out of historical context and general curiousity?
2: Is there any salafis in the area or a salafi centre for me to benefit from inshallah? Is there anything for sisters there?
