AssalamuAlaikum Wa Rahmatullah,
I was just wondering if anyone who has knowledge regarding this matter could clarify the following small issue for me Insha'Allah:
What is the correct wording and reference of the statement:
"he who has not thanked the people, has not thanked Allah." or is it
"he who does not thank the people, does not thank Allah."
I apologise if I have got both wordings wrong. A clarification would be much appreciated. And also does this statement apply to the kufaar also, i.e. to thank them or is it restricted to the muslims?

both are authentically reported: one with the word "lam" and one with the word "laa" - basically one in the past tense and one in the present and with Allaah is our Success

As-Salaamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuhu! Is it possible for you to bring both the narratives Akhunaa Moosaa with their respective takhreeh insha Allaah? Just so we are aware where they are located. Baraka Allaahu Feek.
من خالف هذا المنهج- يعني منهج السلف-و سار على منهج آخر فانه ليس منا و لسنا منه, و لا ننتسب اليه, ولا ينتسب الينا, و لا يسمى جماعة, و انما يسمى فرقة من الفرق الضالة

Both are saheeh according to Al-Albaanee, and Allaah knows best.
