Bismillaah Ar-Rahmaan Ar-Raheem,

Assalamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

I hope someone can anwser my question, which is as follows:
When you have your wudhoo, and stand in water with your socks afterwards, do you still have wudhoo?

im talking about anything, amount does not matter just whatever fluid  you step into with your socks.

I hope someone can respond with the proof.

Jazakum Allaah khayr.

Wa alaykum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.

Assalaamu alaikum,

What you mentioned is not included in the affairs that nulify wudhu. I recommend to try to find Shaykh ibn Baaz's book:

Important Lessons for Every Muslim

As it is a concise book with a section on purification. It mentions the conditions, pillars, requirements, and nullifiers of wudhu.

And explanation of the book can be found at: http://salafibookstore.com/sbs/index.cfm?scn=books&ProductID=B462&do=detail&book=

I believe there are translations (without explanation) available as well.

Wiping over footwear is established in the Qur'aan and the Sunnah, without the condition of the footwear being dry.  And none of the scholars mentioned wet socks as something that nullifies wudhoo'.

The only point that may be of concern is the nature of the water stepped on.  If it is najas, then the person must remove the socks, clean them, and wash the najaasah off his feet.  Wudhoo' does not have to be repeated in this case, since neither touching najaasah nor removing socks are things that nullify wudhoo'.  And Allaah knows best.
