Sent to troid.org Assalamualaikum wa rahmatulahi wa barakatu, There has been a great issue that has been hurting me for the longest i need some clearification or some advice regarding this. Inshallah. My husband and i where not born muslim but allhamdullilah we are practicing salafiya. My husband's mother, sister, and cousins are non muslims. My husband feels obligated to have a best friend relationship with his sister even though she is non muslim, i sometimes hear my husband say things around her that are not appropriate to say. I approach him many times and remind him that we are not of them, he gets upset at me and tells me to deal with the fact that him and his sister are always going to talk no matter what. Well i have a second issue, His female non muslim cousin which he grew up with moved to the same city we live in and she constantly calls him to come visit her. If he does not visit her she calls him yelling at him saying why havent you come vist me. it really bothers me because i know that his is not the sunnah. She doesnt even talk to me she only calls to talk to him.He again feels obligated to visit her. Inshallah i really need some advice regarding this. Jazakum allahu Khairan Salamualaikum

As-Salaamu' Alaikum wa'Rahma tu'Llah, My nasihah, if it can help, is to call on of the salafi da'wah centers (Darul-Hadithi wa Athar or Troid). Insha-Allah, they can post the question to one of the ulamah to get specific advices regarding your issue. You may want to specify to the 'alim from the 'ulamah as-salafiyoon when you ask the question, or request that one of the arabic speaking brothers translates the question, what statements he makes to his sister that are not appropriate so that the 'alim can give the best answer insha-Allah. Be patient with your husband and advise him with the book of Allah and the Sunnahti Rasul (alayhe salaatu'wa salaam). To Allah we return all of our affairs. Darul-Hadith (215)471-0913 Troid- 1(416)243-5320
