"I am sincere and I want to follow the way of the Salaf, but I do not want to call myself a Salafee because I do not want to give myself a tazkiyah..."

For someone who is afraid to give himself a tazkiyyah, you didn't have a problem ascribing yourself to IKHLAAS, saying, "I am sincere."  So you don't want to give yourself a "tazkiyah" by making your manhaj clear, but you have no problem calling yourself a MUKHLIS?  Maa shaa' Allaah.

Anyway, here's an excellect article refuting a lot of the doubts being spread these days about calling oneself Salafee:

http://salafipublications.com/sps/downloads/pdf/SLF010004.pdf

It is very detailed and thorough, so I hope anyone who is not 100% clear on this issue will read it and benefit from it.  May Allaah reward you.
