Salaamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
I would like to ask the Salafis to join us in New England in thanking Allah for aiding the sunnah in our area. The Salafis established Salaatul Eid for the first time in Boston this year 1425H.
The connection with the ikhwaan was severed and the sunnah was established over the wishes of the people of innovation. The Salafis went with the trustworthy report of the sighting of the moon in opposition to the week early, computer generated announcement of Eid.
The Salafis came from points around New England to be together and celebrate this joyous occasion. Salafis traveled from Springfield, MA and Worcester, MA and Rhode Island and several other cities in New England to convene in Boston and pray together.
We did not have even a student of knowledge to make the khutbah but we did the best we could, walhamdulillah, with what we had from the general brothers.
Absent was the picture taking and the free mixing and the concern for the democratic process...a hallmark of the ikhwaani gatherings!
Again we thank Allah subhannahu wa ta'ala and ask for His continued Help.

wa alaikum salam wa rahmatullah;
Al-Hamdulillah, something similar happened here in Rochester NY. Hamdulillah, we followed the information that reached us of the first sighting without hesitation. The two masajid upon the minhaj of the Salafus-Saliheen joined together for the Eid, [without the mixing of the sexes etc and various other matters of the People of Innovation & Deviation], with brother Idrees [who came to this town with the recommendation of brother Abu Uwais-rahimahullah,Imam Masjid-as-Sunnah & Abu Nafi [Imam Masjid-an-Nur]. No affair is without kinks, but everyone was willing to work together, al-Hamdulillah. May Allahu, Subhanahuwa Ta'Ala, make our affairs easier as we continue to work together, Ameen.
