Good Question: Also, it would be interesting to find out whether or not creatine always comes from a halal animal. Look at the following two quotes:
| quote: |
Creatine is produced naturally in the kidney, liver, and pancreas of humans. Creatine is also supplied in meat and fish.
|
|
What "meat" is it taken from when sold in the extracted powder form???
| quote: |
Creatine has not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or purity. All potential risks and / or advantages of creatine may not be known. Additionally, there are no regulated manufacturing standards in place for these compounds.

If that last statement is true, it would seem that creatine (as sold in many health stores) could possibly come from various different sources (including pigs). waAllaahu allam.

as salaamu 'alaykum war rahmatullaahi wa barakatu Akhi i contacted EAS (supplement manufacturer) to find out the contents of their creatine products. The person who responded informed me that they only use synthetic creatine monohydrate in their products. As for the after effects Allaah ta'ala knows best. It has been 10 years since it's release and nothing has been said as far as health risks wallaahu 'alim Abu Nusaybah As Salafee
However, as for the one who ascribes himself to the Salafus-Saalih collectively - then he ascribes himself to that which is protected from mistakes. Imaam Al Albani, rahimahullaah

Na'am this is good news, since I myself was wondering about the use of creatine also. Barak Allaahu Feekum
