Questioner: May Allaah be good to you O Man of Eminence. And this questioner states: What is the ruling on he who says that implementing democracy is from the necessities and important issues in these days, otherwise, what befell Iraq will befall us?
Shaykh al-Fawzaan: Democracy is the madh-hab of the disbelievers. As for the Muslims, then Allaah has caused them not to need this. They have justice, the Divine Justice. They have the Divine Justice. So they are not in need of the ?democracy?, as they say. And they lie ? there is no democracy, there is nothing but iron and fire (i.e. artillery and military strength). They do not have democracy. This is a lie ? all of it. The justice is found in al-Islaam, and to Allaah is the praise. And as for what they claim and boast with, then it is not true. They have nothing with them but iron and fire, and attacking homes, and attacking those who do not submit to their desires. Yes.
[Questioner begins to ask another question, and the Shaykh interjects?]
We say to those who those who say ?democracy?, where is the democracy in Afghanistan? Where is the democracy in Palestine? Where is the democracy of which you speak? Where is the democracy in Chechnya? Where? Where is the democracy? You blow up the entire nation upon its people, killing children, women, seniors, and the generality of people if they disagree with your orders. Where is the democracy? Yes. |
