As Salaamu alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh,
My grandfather just passed and we would like any advice concerning attending the funeral, burial, etc. What is permissible and what is not permissible concerning this, as the churches have statues in them, so is it permissible to enter the churches for the funeral, and also concerning the burial? Should the muslims give my family condolence knowing he died upon kufr? Any advice would be greatly valued. Barakallahu Feekum.
