The website miraath.net has also undergone changes over the months and in case there are other broken links then a google search on the website would give the correct results inshaa'Allaah.
Shaykh Ubayd hafidhahullah has answered this question here. This particular Q&A (Arabic with English translation) starts at time 8:45.
Shaykh mashAllah gave a good advice to the Muslims in general to not take to reading books of unknown authors. Before you read a book, make sure to ask about the author and the contents of that book to the Salafi mashaykh.
We are supposed to use their edition of the book as the basis for our translation (please, read my previous post in this thread, baarakAllaahu feekum).
We would really appreciate if anyone could shed some light on this issue because it is very important for us to act according to what is correct and we need to take a stand regarding this translation as soon as possible in shaa' Allaah.
Jazaakumullaahu khairan.
Was-salaamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh,
As-salaamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh,
Does anyone knows anything about this author and his manhaj (i.e., Dr. Muhammad Ali Al-Hashimi)?
Here in Brazil we were asked to translate the book "The Ideal Muslimah" but the brother who requested us to do so was not able to provide clear information concerning the author and I'm not being able to find it myself.
We'd like to know if the author or his book has anything that opposes the correct manhaj and 'aqeedah and if we should go on with this translation.
We'd really appreciate any insight into this issue since we have to give a position to the brother if we'll translate the book or not, in shaa' Allaah.
Jazaakumullaahu khairan.
Was-salaamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh,
