The Shaykh AbdusSamad al Kaatib son of the Shaykh ,the 'Allaamah Muhammad al Kaatib has passed away on 14/7/1431.

He was sent to KSA by his father 'Allaamah Muhammad al Kaatib from Kerala,India to study under the Scholars in KSA when he 16 years old.

He taught in the Ma'had al 'ilmee in Jizaan and the in the Islaamic University of Madeenah till he retired. He was a close friend and colleague of 'Allaamah Ahmad an-Najmee (rahimahullaah).

His students include , Shaykh Abdurrahmaab Muhyuddeen , Shaykh Saalih as-Suhaymee, Shaykh Falah Mindikaar, Shaykh 'Assim al-Qariyooti ,Shaykh AbdurRazzaq al Badr , Shaykh Muhammad Dhiyaa al-Aadhmi & others.

He authored the book on Faraaidh (Inheritance)which is still being taught in the Ma'had al-'Ilmee of Madeenah.

He studied with the Imaam Muhammad al Othaimeen (rahimahullaah) and Shaykh Omar Al Malaybari (rahimahullaah) under the Scholars.

He was concerned with teaching the old saying that they have only a few years left. He was harsh with the Ahlul Bid'ah and the proponents of Madhabism & Ta'assub.

'Allamah Abdul Muhsin al'Abbaad (hafidhaullaah) and his son Shaykh 'Abdur-Razzaaq al 'Abbaad used to regularly visit him during his sickness at his home in Madeenah.

Shaykh 'Aasim al Qariyooti (hafidhahullaah) has married one of the Shaykh's daughthers.

The Shaykh (rahimahullaah) passed away in the house of his son 'Abdul Lateef in Riyadh and buried in the al-Naseem graveyard.

I have adapted this biography from Sahab with some additions from myself.

Innalillaahi wa inna ilayhi raajioon. May Allaah have mercy upon the Shaykh and grant patience to his family and students. Aameen.

Does anyone know if any books/audios/articles of the Shaykh are available in any of the Indian languages like Malayalam, etc.?

JazaakAllaah khayr.
