A blessed week in Madinah 1st Dulh Qaıdah 1431 - 9th October 2010

Alhamdulillaahi rabil ıaalameen, wa salatu wa salamu ıala nabiyyina Muhammad wa ıala alihi wa sahbihi ajmaıeen.

Indeed it has been a blessed week, mere words wonıt be able to capture how beneficial it was  mashaallaah, however,a gimpse into it inshaallaah.

Many of the scholars of Madinah mashaallaah resumed their classes, from the likes of Sheikh ıAbdulmuhsin al-ıAbbad who started last Saturday the explanation of Saheeh al-Bukhaari. After having completed Sunan Ibn Majah in 3 years mashaallaah. The sheikh embarked on teaching the most authentic book after the Qurıan, Saheeh al-Bukhaari. Unlike his explanation of Sunan ibn Majah where the sheikh was teaching 13 hadeeth a day, the sheikh would only explain 1 or 2 hadeeth a day in the Prophetıs mosque between the Maghrib and ıIsha prayer except for Thursday. The explanation, therefore, is more detailed than his explanation of Sunan ibn Majah. It is by far the biggest gathering in the masjid up to 1000 people, much more than last year. Then the Dawrah started, Sheikh Ubayd al-Jaabiri continued teaching Lulu walMarjan kitaab al-Masaajid, Sheikh Sulaiman al-Ruhaili continued teaching Adab mashi ila Sallat and others.

Also a blessed visit mashaallaah by Sheikh Rabeeı ibn Haadi al-Madhkhali, who came last Tuesday and delivered an inspiring lecture and reminder on Thursday in Bani Salama mosque (which people call Qiblatain). He talked about the ıAqeedah of the sallaf primarily talking about Allaah and the correct belief one should have.

At the end, during question time, the sheikh said that they (the partisan groups and their leaders) call him shaded ı harsh. Yet at the same time we find those same individuals such as ıAdnan Urur making excuses of Sayyid Qutb and his errors. Abul Hasan al-Marabi again making excuses for Jamaıaat Tableegh and Ikhwaanil Muslimeen and saying they are Ahlu Sunnah even though he knew what Sheikh ıAbdulaziz Bin Baz rahmahullaah was saying they are not ahlu Sunnah at that time. Then at the same time calling Rabeeı extreme! Harsh!
The sheikh continued and said that the methodology of the pious predecessors was clearly to invite all to the correct belief and methodology but when one continues to call to innovation and desires they are refuted with proof. He said be just even in this donıt spread lies. The sheikh said - be men donıt allow the likes of these and others fool you with their new principles attacking Ahlu Sunnah. Rather, he said, Sheikh ıAbdulaziz bin Baz did not leave errors that were in newspapers but he rahimahullaah would refute them of coarse with wisdom and prrof. He said Sheikh Bin Baz rahmahullaah himself would agree to Sheikh Rabeeıs refutations of the innovators during his lifetime (and would send him letters asking about such and such individuals) and he would say to sheikh Rabeeı refute the innovators.
Likewise, Sheikh Saalih ibn Fawzan (who has introduction so some of Sheikh Rabeeıs books refuting Mawdudi as in Menahj al-Anbiyaa) but these partisan groups and their leaders try and attack Sheikh Rabeeı with the phrases such as ıhe is shaded!ı Likewise, he said, why did sheikh al-Albaani rahimahullaah say that statement after saying that he was the flag barrier of Jarh wa taıdeel? It was becauseı Adnan ıUrur going to him and not mentioning all the errors that sheikh Rabeeı had  on Sayid Qutb and showed Sheikh Albaani that Sheikh Rabeeı was being harsh towards Sayid Qutb. It wasnıt until Sheikh Rabeeı sent Sheikh Al-Albaani rahimahullaah his books clarifying the errors of Sayid Qutb that it was clear to Sheikh Al-Albaani rahimahullaah that Sheikh Rabeeı spoke the truth regarding Sayid Qutb. In a phone conversation, sheikh Al-Albaani rahimahullaah said to sheikh Rabeeı I excuse myself from that statement (that he is Shadeed). Then Sheikh Al-Albaani rahimahullaah wrote down the famous quote signed by him that everything you have said on Sayid Qutb is true.
Sheikh Rabeeı continued by saying that the pious predecessors would be harsh against the Innovators such as the Raafidha Sufees, takfeeris, they would clarify there lies and extremism. Read the books of Jarh wa Taıdeel and the many refutations against the innovators.
At the same time when it comes to Ahli Sunnah the the sheikh said:

ıI advise the youth as I have always been saying that the salafees should have closeness between their hearts and bring about brotherhood between themselves and use lofty manners in cooperating with each other bringing about unity with patience and wisdom. I have been advising with this in my lessons, lectures and phone calls from all places. As for those who are at loggerheads with this methodology, by Allaah, they have split the salafees in the East and West. Then they claim we are the ones splitting the people! By Allaah I always call to bringing about brotherhood between the youths. These are my books and these are my tapes which bear witness that I call for the brotherhood amongst the youths in Algeria, Morocco, in Libya, in Yemen, in Shaam, in Palestine and every place. And they, by Allaah, who split up, whenever there is a voice calling to splitting, by Allaah they go with that voice! We free ourselves from what they say about usıı

Let those desist who keep spreading this about sheikh Rabeeı ibn Haadi and the scholars in general while at the same time they cooperate with the misguided groups and/or confused individuals who until today cooperate with the likes of Abul Hassan al-Marabi even though he has called the companions scum! Even though he has spoken ill of Abu Saıeed Al-Khudhri and Usaama ibn Zayd radhiallaahu ıanhum. Even after his Tawbah he says they (the scholars of Madinah) donıt know what reviling the companions is! Negating his tawbah as sheikh Rabeeı mentioned in ıMarahil Abil Hasanı.   You will find them gathering together even though they are not united but they are only united against the truth and those who uphold it, this, because the people of truth expose their open errors in cooperating with the innovators and misguided ones.

  About 1000 people attended for this reminder including scholars such as Sheikh ıAli Nasr Al-Faqeehi, Sheikh Saalih Suhaimi, Sheikh Muhammad ibn Haadi al-Madhkhali, Sheikh ıAbdullah al-Bukhaari and others. Then, the istiraaha after ıIsha which again was well attended at least 600 people. Sheikh Rabeeı continued his words of advice to the students of knowledge. This again was attended by the same mashaayikh and others. Sheikh Muhammad al-ıAqeel could not attend because his brother died rahimahullah. The Janaza was at Zhohr time on Thursday where many mashayikh attended including Sheikh ıAbdulmuhsin al-ıAbbad, Sheikh Sulaiman al-Ruhaili, Sheikh Muhammad ibn Haadi al-Madhkhali and others. Sheikh ıUbayd al-Jaabiri also visited sheikh Rabeeı ibn Haadi mashaallaah in his house welcoming him to Madinah.
On Friday, there was a joint lecture in Bani Salama mosque by Sheikh Abdulsallam Suhaimi and Sheikh Muhammad ibn Haadi al-Madhkhali on the efforts of the salafi scholars in fighting terrorism.
Today, Saturday 1st Dhul Qaıdah mashaallaah Sheikh ıAbdulmuhsin continued his explanation having started kitaab al-Eman on Friday.  His explanation of the hadeeth of Hercules on Wednesday was beautiful mashaallaah, a must listen to the background of the hadeeth.
After ıIsha, a lesson packed with beneficial knowledge by Sheikh Muhammad ibn Haadi on Laamiyat al-Mansukh of Haafidh al-Hakami rahimahullaah. The sheikh only explained about 5 lines or so with much detail and care. Jazahumullaahu khairan for their efforts in spreading that which is beneficial to the ummah. It is a blessing from Allaah to see the scholars upon one hand bringing about much benefit wa lillaahil hamd. Sheikh ıAli Nasr al-Faqeehi said this companion of mine (Sheikh Rabeeı) has been my companion since secondary school. Hugging each other showing love and affection based upon this blessed ıaqeedah (belief) and menhaj (Methodology). May Allaah guide us to the truth and make us die upon it, Tawheed and Sunnah. May Allaah forgive us our faults and make us grateful for witnessing this good.
