A good hotel for those of you with families is the candlewood suites. you can find their locations at http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/cw/1/en/home There are two locations for them in Town. They have studio apts with kitchen built in. another good chioce is extended stay america you can find them at http://www.extendedstayamerica.com/ They have many locations in town but Columbus North location is the closest to the function.
