These are excerpts from the tapes that are freely available and which are distributed and sold by Masjid Ibn Taymiyyah, Brixton. This is only factual information, as it has been requested by those over here and also abroad, and the people of knowledge in Makkah and Madinah are anticipating this information.

  • Very devious technique in trying to belittle Shaykh Rabee's refutations of al-Ma'ribee and al-Maghraawee (not explicitly stated, but intended by the talbeesaat Qoosee places in his speech)
  • Belittlement of Shaykh Faalih al-Harbee
  • Revilement upon Shaykh Fawzee al-Atharee
  • Reason behind all of this devious attack is because of their position on Abul-Hasan al-Ma'ribee, and their firm stance against him and his Ikhwaanee Manhaj
  • Use of generalisations and ambiguities to confuse and to destroy firmly established Salafee principles regarding refuting the opposer and taking the hujjah from the one who presents it and demonstrates it
  • and much more evil.

Asslaamu alaykum wa rahmatullaah,

I have noticed from the likes of these statements that we hear from al-Qoosee, may Allaah guide him, that the intent of these people is to silence the Salafis and prevent them from defending the Scholars and A'immah of Salafiyyah. They would do well to know that the resolve of our scholars, walillaahil-hamd, is strong and we will not compromise our scholars nor be bullied or intimidated into silence.

I remind you all of the statement of Ibn Taahir al-Maqdisi al-Haafidh, who said,

"I heard the Imaam, Abu Ismaa'eel 'Abdullaah bin Muhammad al-Ansaari saying, whilst in Haraah: 'The sword was put to my neck five times [and each time] it was not said to me, 'Leave your madhhab' but it was said to me, 'Remain silent about those who are in opposition to you'. So I would say, 'I will not remain silent'." [Aadaab us-Sharee'ah (1/207) of Ibn Muflih al-Maqdisi al-Hanbali].

Al-Qoosee and his likes have come to the West and gathered whoever they could gather and waged a war upon the Salafis in a manner that is unprecedented in the West. They have thrown insults upon the du'aat and their Scholars. They put their efforts together to destroy the honour or reputation of the Shaykhs and Imaams of Sunnah and Salafiyyah. Indeed Al-Qoosee, and those upon his way, have directed their attention both towards the khaleej and the gharb.

In the khaleej, they attack the Imaams and mujaahideen of this manhaj, like Al-Allaamah Rabee' bin Haadee and Ash-Shaykh Faaleh bin Naafi' al-Harbee. They also try to bring the major students of knowledge into disrepute, so they hurl curses and insults towards Shaykh Fawzee al-Atharee and others. As for the gharb, meaning the West, they aim their spears of enmity towards the callers and the maraakiz of Salafiyyah, like Salafi Publications in Birmingham or the Salafis in London or Leeds or Manchester. They attack also our Salafi brothers in Philidelphia and Toronto, not leaving alone anyone whom they see as a threat or an opposer of the Ma'rabee phenomenon.

I give you glad tidings that this Manhaj and its upholders (i.e. the 'ulemah) will not defeated nor harmed by those who abandon them and attack them. The Messenger, salallaahu 'alayhi wassalam, said:

"There will not cease to be a group from my Ummah obedient to Allaah's orders. They will not be harmed by those who desert them, nor those who oppose them until Allaah's command comes about and they have ascendany over the people." [Bukhaaree and Muslim]

Also, Ahlus-Sunnah will never cease to hold that the reward of defending the Sunnah from innovation is indeed immense in its station. Al-Humaidee, the Shaikh of al-Bukhaaree said, "By Allaah, that I war against those who reject the Hadeeth of the Messenger (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) is more beloved to me than that I should war against the same number of Non-Muslims." [Al-Harawi in Dhamm ul-Kalaam]. And Ibn al-Qayyim said, "The jihaad with decisive proofs [from the Book and the Sunnah] and the tongue takes precedence over the jihaad with the sword and the spear." [Al-Jawaab us-Saheeh of Ibn Taymiyyah (1/237)]. And likewise, Nasr bin Zakariyaa said, I heard Muhammad bin Yahyaa adh-Dhuhlee saying, I heard Yahyaa bin Yahyaa saying, "Defence of the Sunnah is more superior than Jihaad in the path of Allaah." So I said, "A man spends his wealth, tires his body and strives (in jihaad), so is this one (still) better than him? He said, "Yes, by many times!" [Dhammu ul-Kalaam of al-Harawi].

Know that Salafiyyah in these times is strange. But this strangeness does not terrify the believer, rather it strengthen his eemaan and fortifies his resolve. Why? Because indeed the Messenger, salallaahu 'alayhi wassalam, and his early Companions were seen as Strangers. As the Messenger, salallaahu 'alayhi wassalam, said:

"Islaam began as a stranger and it will return to being a stranger, so 'Toobah' (a tree in Paradise) is for the Strangers (al-Ghurabaa)." They asked: "O Messenger of Allaah! Who are the Strangers?" He replied: "Those who rectify themselves and others when the people are corrupt." [Tabaraanee in 'al-Kabeer].

So we ask the followers of Al-Ma'rabee, 'Are you rectifying the people who fall into takfeer or the followers of Al-Bannah and Qutb and Muhammad Ilyaas at-Tableeghee?'. No! Rather al-Ma'rabee and his blind-followers include them into the Saved Sect.

We ask, 'Do you O Ma'rabee, defend the honour of the Companions and give them the right Allaah has accorded them?'. No, rather you add to the attacks of the Shee'ah by accusing them of ghuthaa'iyyah (scum) and having bad cultivation and evil intent towards the texts. And do you, O defenders of al-Ma'rabee, rectify this corruption of Al-Ma'rabee or do you remain silent in the face of his evil speech? The answer is you do not remain silent but you excuse his evil and defend it and defend him and you gather your arrows together and fire them at the Salafis! You remain silent while he curses the scholars, rather worse than that, you aid him in attacking the A'immah. Is there hizbiyyah and partisanship worse than this?!

Take heed of this narration and stick to its great advice in which ?Umar bin Salamah al-Hamdaanee said: "We were sitting in the circle of Ibn Mas?ood in the mosque, which had been plain land after it had been covered with gravel. ?Ubaidullaah bin Umar ibn al-Khattaab, who had just returned from an expedition, said to him: ?What is the straight path O Abu ?Abdur-Rahmaan?? He replied: ?By the Lord of the Ka?bah, it is that which your father was firmly established upon until he entered Paradise? and then he swore firmly upon that three times, Then he drew a line in the ground with his hand and also drew lines to either side of it and said: ?Your Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) left you upon this end and its other end is in Paradise. So whoever remains steadily upon it will enter Paradise and whoever takes any of these lines will be destroyed." [I'tisaam of al-Shaatibee].

We ask that Allaah makes us from those who strive upon the Straight Path and enters us into His Gardens of Paradise, aameen.
