A brother by the name of Abul-`Abbaas as-Salafee attempted to place an apparent statement of the Muftee of Saudi Arabia speaking of the Shaykhs Rabee` and Ahmad an-Najmee. Amongst what he has apparently said is:
"...And al-Jarh wat-Ta`deel is an inherited knowledge from (the time of) the Prophet (sallAllaahu `alayhi wasallam) and his Companions, until this day of ours. However, it is specific to its (capable) people, from the senior people of knowledge such as an-Najmee and Shaykh Rabee`. For they have (the right) of referral in this matter..."
"...And as for what those ignoramuses (Jahalah) from the Ahl ul-Ahwaa say of lies and slander about Shaykh Rabee`, then Shaykh Rabee` is from the Major Scholars (al-`Ulamaa al-Kibaar), those whom trust is placed in from the callers and aiders of truth, and he is the carrier of the flag of al-Jarh wat-Ta`deel... and he has been given tazkiyah from the Hai'ah Kibaar il-`Ulamaa, and amongst them is those we have mentioned, so we advise you to take knowledge from him..."

So we await for its verification, and inshaa'Allaah this will be good news, if verified.
And from the benefits of this would be that:
- Jarh of the Innovators and those who stray, after guidance, is an inherited knowledge and is not a newly-invented science
- Those who are specialists in this field, such as Shaykhs Rabee` and Shaykh Ahmad an-Najmee have the right of referral in these matters
- Those who lie upon and slander Shaykh Rabee` are the Jahalah (whether directly, or whether in a hidden, indirect way by attacking those who are upon the mawaaqif of Shaykh Rabee` with titles of "Ghulaat" and "Haddaadiyyah" and "Muqallidah", because this is the new way of attacking the Shaykh's manhaj and that of his brothers from the people of knowledge, like Shaykh Ahmad an-Najmee)
And as a reminder here is the saying of Abul-Hasan as-Sulaymaanee (from another thread): | quote: |

And as Shaykh Rabee` said about this loser, no one remains with Abul-Hasan who has any `aql or deen. Because now his ta`an of the Kibaar `Ulamaa, which is widely known, is sufficient to expose his true intentions all along. He actually tried to destroy Shaykh Rabee`, using other Shaykhs where possible, to marginilise the Shaykh and to demonise his manhaj, and to stop him from purifying the Sunnah from the remains of Ikhwaaniyyah.
He is the one who caused this split and whilst those who were formerly together, as Salafees, loving all the Scholars and loving this manhaj, are now separated and divided. Some of them having unfortunately succumbed and tended towards this Innovator and his innovations. And Abul-Hasan as-Sulaymaanee himself watches on and is probably happy with his result.
So once more, we appeal to all those who used to be with us upon Salafiyyah and whose walaa and baraa got severely affected by the fitnah of this man and his false manhaj, to abandon him and to cleanse their hearts of hatred, grudges and ill-feelings, and if they have abandoned him or are not with him any more, to also correct their walaa and baraa and hubb and bughd and muwaalaat and mu`aadaat. |
