i have it and the sharh of sh. ibn al-'uthaymeen. from what i have seen, notes is a more brief explanation of the text. it also has the arabic and the english side by side for aid in memorization.
the book of ibn al-'uthaymeen is more detailed and has the arabic text, although it is not side by side with the english. the sharh of ibn al-'uthaymeen also has the checking of the hadeeth, something that notes doesn't.
