as salaamu 'alaykum-
Who is Iyad Hilal and what is he upon. I've seen some quotes from his book Usoolul Fiqh and they sounded a bit off.
ummu `Isa Haneefa bint Darrell Moses
"ya hayyu ya qayyum bi rahmatika astagheethu aslihli shanee kullahu wa la takilnee ilaa nafsee tarfata `ayn."

Asslaamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuhu,
About 8 years ago, this man (Iyad Hilaal) was with Hizb ut-Tahrir, and used to write articles for a magazine/Journal in the US called 'Khalif'ornia'.(the one in the UK was and is still called 'Khalifah Magazine' I dont know if he is still with them? or has seperated and joined another Hizb? (as is the way of the Mubtadi'ah) Allaahu Alim. But back in the 1990's Hizb-ut Tahrir, used to always refer to his book on Usool i.e. 'Studies in Usul ul Fiqh'. (and i am sure that they still refer to it Privately if not openly. One of their deviated usools written in this book is concerning not taking the Sahih Khabr al-Had into aqeedah (Page 20). He also has a detailed article, which was printed in the Journal, (Which HT still try to use in the UK).
I dont recommend anyone to read or recommend this book/Journal, Alhamdulliah we have plenty of material to refer to on 'Salafipublications' and 'TROID'.
