Bismillaah Al-Hamdulillaah wa salatu wa salamu 'ala Rasool Allah
On the authority of 'Uqbah ibnu 'Amir that the Prophet (salallaahu 'alaihi wa salam) said:
quote:
Idha ra`ayta Allaaha yu'ti 'abdahu minn a-dunya 'ala maa'asihi ma yuhib fa'lam annama hu istidraju min (When you see that Allaah [subhanahu wa taa'ala] is granting His believing slave that which he loves from things of this world while he is disobedient to Allaah, then know that is only istidraj.)
[Ahmad]
Note: The Definition of Istidraj - as given by 'Umar Quinn (one of the translaters in Germantown Masjid's "Reviving The Sunnah" program (CD) - is Allaah leading that person to his destruction.
Subhanak Allaahuma wa bihamdika ash-hadu anlaa illaaha illa anta astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayk
If I said anything correct, then it is from Allaah (subhanahu wa taa'ala), and if I erred, then that is from me and shaytan.
