I want to take my children to the zoo, I found a fatwah about it being permissible but without the author of the fatwah.

Can you help insha Allaah

Djazaq Allaahu gheyran

bissmillahi ar rahmani ar rahim
assalam alaykoum oukhti,

look what i found on www.fatwa-online.com, inshaAllah this will help you decide for yourself:

Going to public places where there are munkaraat
*Please appropriately reference this fatwa to: www.fatwa-online.com, thankyou!*
Question: Is it permissible for me to go on leisure outings with my husband and my children to places like (public) parks, museums and exhibitions, without (free) mixing or missing the (obligatory) prayers, with the knowledge that by necessity I will uncover my face in these places. And (also) is it permissible for us to accompany our children to beaches for swimming, knowing the immorality (which occurs) in these places and the prevalence of nakedness and permissiveness there? And how should we respond to those who say: "We are forbidden to enjoy that which Allaah has created", (knowing) that a person is unable to lower their gaze to avoid seeing things that are forbidden by Allaah, because they are so widespread in these places?

Response: It is not permissible to go to places in which munkaraat (evil things) are prevalent, (particularly since) there is sufficient enjoyment in the things which Allaah has permitted for us, and we have no need of that which He (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala) has forbidden for us.

And with Allaah lies all success and may Allaah send prayers and salutations upon our Prophet (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam) and his family and his companions.

Djazaq Allaahu gheyr to ukht oummou.asia for the fatwah provided by her, but I would like to repeat my question. As the circumstances outlined in the fatwah about places of munkar do not correspond with my circumstances. As there will be no free mixing and I will not have to unveil my face, nor will we be faced with nudity or the likes (with exception of the occasional snail we might encounter).

This trip, as I am homeschooling my children due to the non-existence of islamic (salafy) schools in general in Belgium, has a great educational value to the upbringing of my children in learning about different animals, creatures of Allaah. And I planned it in wintertime because the zoo is empty and you can get a special program (with female guides) and plan it ackording your duties in Islaam.

Forgive if I might seem difficult in accepting a fatwah, this is certainly NOT the case, I'm just looking for an accurate response insha Allaah.

Djazaq Allaahu gheyr.

bissmillahi rar rahmani ar rahim

assalam alaykoum oukhti fi Llah,

then, if these 'ulama said:
quote:

It is not permissible to go to places in which munkaraat (evil things) are prevalent

and you say:

quote:

As there will be no free mixing and I will not have to unveil my face, nor will we be faced with nudity or the likes (with exception of the occasional snail we might encounter).

this fatwa gives you the answer that: it seems ok in your case, isn't it?
so you can make your jugment from what the shouyoukh provided you in this fatwa i think. wa Allahou ta'ala a'lam.
