الأعلام بنقد كتاب الحلال والحرام - للعلامة الفوزان Al-I'laam Bi-Naqdil-Kitaabil-Halaal-Wal-Haraam-Lil-Allaamathil-Fawzaan This book is a radd of Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan hafidhahullaah upon Qaradaawee's book al-Halal wal-Haraam fil-Islaam. This book was written by the shaykh around 35 years from now. May Allaah reward him well for his defence of the Sunnah. Before you read this, please refer to the following link. http://salafitalk.net/st/viewmessages.cfm?Forum=9&Topic=4477 Someone may ask, why have you not adviced Muqtaar Ahmed Nadwi(rahimahullaah) who passed away on 9th of September. Firstly I say, Innaa Lillaahi Wa Innaa Ilayhi Raaji'oon, may Allaah forgive him and have mercy on him. Secondly, I mentioned this matter to one of the Scholars in the year 2005, who interceded for me last year and held a private discussion with Muqtaar Ahmed, in order to advice him to refrain from publishing Yousuf al-Qaradaawee's books and spreading them amongst the people in India under the label of Salafiyyah. So when I met the Shaykh, in the beginning of this year, he himself mentioned as to what Muqtar Ahmed rahimahullaah had said. When the Shaykh asked him why he is publishing these books he responded with words that the partisans of Jam'iyyah should write them with water of gold just as Muqtar Ahmed rahimahullaah said about Qaradaawee's book should be written with water of gold!!! Muqtaar Ahmed rahimahullaah said: Dar-us-Salafiyyah is a business!!! (Yeh Thijaarathee Idaarah hai) This was the response the Shaykh received. The Shaykh looked at me and said, 'This is what he said, now what can be said about him'? So if this was a business then he should have named it, Daarul-Khalafiyyah. Such is this Bakhiyathus-Salaf hasthee (personality), the ex-Amir of Jam'iyyah Ahle Hadees al-Hind. This criticism is not upon those earnest ones from the Jam'iyyah who are busy teaching the deen of Allaah being unaware of these desires and deviations but rather it is only directed towards the political figures who have sold the manhaj of Siddique Hasan, Abdar-Rahmaan Mubaarakfooree, Shams-ul-Haq, Syed Nadheer Hussain & others rahimahumullaah. This was his daring response to a Shaykh, and not to a general individual. Imagine the boldness of this individual as he expressed no shame in what he did! But rather he had the audacity to say this was a pure business house, whichever books give me business I sell them!! So as Shaykh Abd-al-Baaree hafidhahullaah said, no matter what amount of destruction & loss befalls upon the deen, the only concern these individuals have is to achive that which brings them pure worldly, material benefits. Even if someone made an excuse saying perhaps he had debts, he was in need, or whatever, then he could have printed it without the label? Let alone the label, he even went on to praise Qaradaawee as the Imaam of the Salafees!!! Sub'hanAllaah, he sought a recommendation letter to print this book that opposes the Qur'aan, the Sunnah and what the Ahl-us-Sunnah wal Jamaah are upon! Are these the people of hadeeth?

Yahya Ibn Ma'een rahimahullaah inherited a million dirham from his father and he spent all of them in seeking the knowledge of hadeeth, until he did not have enough to buy a pair of shoes!!

Siddeeq Hasan Khan rahimahullaah spent huge, huge amount of his wealth in printing and publishing the works of the Scholars, distributing free the books of ahadeeth and shurooh to the students of knowledge, spent his whole life with his person and huge wealth Allaah had bestowed upon him in the service of the Sunnah.

And Allaah said:
| quote: |
Then after them succeeded an (evil) generation, which inherited the Book, but they chose (for themselves) the goods of this low life (evil pleasures of this world) saying (as an excuse): "(Everything) will be forgiven to us." And if (again) the offer of the like (evil pleasures of this world) came their way, they would (again) seize them (would commit those sins). Was not the covenant of the Book taken from them that they would not say about Allâh anything but the truth? And they have studied what is in it (the Book). And the home of the Hereafter is better for those who are Al-Muttaqûn. Do not you then understand? (Al-A'raf 7:169)

Did Allaah not prohibit from selling His Aaayaath in exchange for miserable worldly price? Verily, We did send down the Taurât (Torah) [to Mûsa (Moses)], therein was guidance and light, by which the Prophets, who submitted themselves to Allâh's Will, judged the Jews. And the rabbis and the priests [too judged the Jews by the Taurât (Torah) after those Prophets] for to them was entrusted the protection of Allâh's Book, and they were witnesses thereto. Therefore fear not men but fear Me (O Jews) and sell not My Verses for a miserable price. And whosoever does not judge by what Allâh has revealed, such are the Kâfirûn (i.e. disbelievers - of a lesser degree as they do not act on Allâh's Laws). (Al-Ma'idah 5:44) And believe in what I have sent down (this Qur'ân), confirming that which is with you, [the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)], and be not the first to disbelieve therein, and buy not with My Verses [the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] a small price (i.e. getting a small gain by selling My Verses), and fear Me and Me Alone. (Tafsir At-Tabarî, Vol. I, Page 253). (Al-Baqarah 2:41) And there are, certainly, among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), those who believe in Allâh and in that which has been revealed to you, and in that which has been revealed to them, humbling themselves before Allâh. They do not sell the Verses of Allâh for a little price, for them is a reward with their Lord. Surely, Allâh is Swift in account. (Aali Imran 3:199) And insha Allaah I will translate relevant portions from the valuable book of Shaykh al-Fawzaan hafidhahullah that he wrote about 35 years from now... clearly refuting Qaradaawee al-Ikhwaanee. This radd of Allaamah al-Fawzaan hafidhahullaah is of huge importance to the Indians and it will highlight the fact as to who are the defenders of the Sunnah in this generation? Who are those who on one hand have sold the Sunnah for cheap price and put these deviant ones upon the high positions of Imamate, urging people to follow the likes of these deviants while on the other hand accuse these noble ulamaa of Saudia as Hanbalee Muqallideen.

It is indeed a great victory for the Salafees. 5 years from now, people used to quote Zakir Naik & Bilal Philips, Zafar ul Hasan or fulan wa fulan who were considered to be big islamic scholars. Jamiath had put a thick blanket over the people's eyes apart from their on top of attempts to cut people from the scholars of Salafiyyah. But today, alhamdulillaah people have opened their eyes, people know who the scholars are, and this criticism and disparagement of jam'iath upon the Scholars of Saudi as Hanbalee Muqallideen is fading day by day.

I will begin with Qaradawee's claim about Music and Singing being permissible....from this book of Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan(hafidhahullaah): Shaykh Fawzaan said: The discussion of the author (al-Qaradaawee) upon the subject of singing and music beginning from page 218 up until page 221 (in his book al-halal-wal-haraam-fil-islam), has erred in several issues, and from them his statement: " And it is from fun, that which the souls rest and delights the hearts and the ears enjoy the singing and Islam has made it permissible that which does not contain indulgance of obscenity or treachery or incitement upon sin, and there is no harm in accompanying music and other excitement and fancy in the events so as to spread good pleasure and (bring about) refreshment of the souls during the days of eid, wedding feasts, advent of arrival of the one away and on the occasion of Waleemah, Aqeeqah and the birth of a baby." To be continued insha Allaah.
