In the Name of Allaah, the Most Merciful... "The Supererogatory Prayer(s) After the Jumu'ah Prayer" By Sheikh Yahyaa bin 'Alee al-Hajooree taken from his book 'Ahkaamul-Jumu'ah wa bid'ihaa': It has been collected by al-Bukhaaree (1165) and Muslim (729), may Allaah have mercy upon them both, from the hadeeth reported by Ibn 'Umar, may Allaah be pleased with them both, that he said, ýI prayed with the Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu ýalayhi wa sallam, two rak'ah before Dhuhr, two after Dhuhr, two after Jumu'ah, two after Maghrib and two after 'Ishaa'ý. And it has been collected by Imaam Muslim (881) from the hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah, may Allaah be pleased with him, who said: The Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu ýalayhi wa sallam, said, ýWhen one of you prays the Jumu'ah prayer, let him pray four (rak'ahs) after it.ý And it has been collected by Imaam Muslim (882) from the hadeeth of 'Abdullaah ibn 'Umar, may Allaah be pleased with them both, that the Prophet, sallallaahu ýalayhi wa sallam, would not pray after the Jumu'ah prayer until he departed (from the masjid) then he would pray two rak'ah in his home. Ibn Rajab al-Hanbalee, may Allaah have mercy on him, stated: The 'Ulamaa have differed concerning combining between the hadeeth of Ibn 'Umar and that of Abu Hurayrah..... How did the scholars combine between these hadeeths? What conclusion did they reach? Click to find out. Baarakallah feekum http://troid.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1023&Itemid=356
