It has been brought to my attention that a statement is being attributed to me, that I have said:

This statement is clearly falseood.
I do not ever recall making such a statement or even something close to it that could lead to such an understanding, however I would appreciate if someone could direct me to the root of this claim, to whatever audio, article, or post that is being referred to, so I could deal with it accordingly.

Barely worth mentioning that someone who posts on the tabloid chat sites admitted to making this claim and mentioned that:

If Im wrong, it is due to the fact that
a. shaytan could have played with me wa iyaadhubillah
b. it may have been someone else who posted it, maybe another Musa
c. I may have read the statement in a wrong light or with words that I mistook
d. It could be that you actually stated it, but was unintentionally or unaware of making it.
Seems like a long list of things and a very long way around an easy issue, when perhaps a shorter three-point list would be easier on our Hereafter and more honorable:
1. Stop committing the sin.
2. Be truly remorseful.
3. Intend sincerely to not return to it.

Please understand: I know that part of openly calling to Allaah's Religion is that I am going to be slandered. It comes with the territory. Miskeen students like myself only taste a tiny, tiny fraction of the slander and abuse that the scholars face.
I am not asking anyone to exhonorate me on a tabloid forum! I am only requesting that if I have erred - that my brothers help me to correct the error, so I can free myself of a burden that I won't have to face later in the Hereafter.
But I believe this individual has sadly been heavily influenced by gossip and tabloid slander, as he states in his rather long explanation of why he attributes things to me that he has no basis for:

May Allaah grant him success in freeing himself from this and other atrocities before a Day comes when the only one who can be saved is the one who comes with a clean heart.
I only mention this here to give our brothers some insight into what kind of grounds the people who write on the tabloid sites actually need to spread things, the reality of their gossip-based hatred and recklessness, paired with their inability to handle their admitted slander when faced with it. And we ask Allaah for safety.

It seems as if the formula for justifiable slander is to: a) invent a lie against an individual; b) allow it to fester; c) dodge responsibility and accountability and, finally; d) blame the victim of the slander by basically suggesting that he would have said it anyway.
For the record, I've known Abul 'Abbaas for, well, a long time; ever since he uttered the Shahaadatayn, and I cannot "easily expect this" of him.
