As-Salaamu AlaiKum, With "green" issues becoming more and more prominent, i was wondering if there was a collection of the islamic prospective on this (like the environment, nature, animals, etc). I have already come accross some Ayaat (Verses) in the Quran, and there also some ahadith about these topics... but is it possible to have them mentioned in this thread (in one place) inshallah. Hadeeth No. 2175 - Narrated Anas bin Malik: Allah's Apostle said, "There is none amongst the Muslims who plants a tree or sows seeds, and then a bird, or a person or an animal eats from it, but is regarded as a charitable gift for him." Hadeeth No. 2179 - Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "While a man was riding a cow, it turned towards him and said, 'I have not been created for this purpose (i.e. carrying), I have been created for sloughing." The Prophet added, "I, Abu Bakr and 'Umar believe in the story." No. 5283 Jabir reported that there happened to pass before Allaah's Prophet (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) an ass the face of which had been cauterised, whereupon he said: Allaah has cursed one who has cauterised it (on the face). CHAPTER: GOOD ATTITUDE EVEN IN SLAUGHTER AND KILLING AND SHARPENING OF LARGE KNIFE No. 4810 Shaddid b. Aus said: Two are the things which I remember Allaah's Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) having said: Verily Allaah has enjoined goodness to everything; so when you kill, kill in a good way and when you slaughter, slaughter in a good way.
