  Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Apostle said, "Any person who takes a bath on Friday like the bath of Janaba and then goes for the prayer (in the first hour), it is as if he had sacrificed a camel (in Allah's cause); and whoever goes in the second hour it is as if he had sacrificed a cow; and whoever goes in the third hour, then it is as if he had sacrificed a horned ram; and if one goes in the fourth hour, then it is as if he had sacrificed a hen; and whoever goes in the fifth hour then it is as if he had offered an egg. When the Imam comes out (i.e. starts delivering the Khutba), the angels present themselves to listen to the Khutba."

As the hadith mentions the fifth hour and then stops, should one then assume that the Khutbah and therefore any reward is cut off from that time onwards?

The early time, should this be calculated by counting back from the dhur prayer time, ie, here dhur is close to 12pm, counting backwards then implies that the early time mentioned in the hadith is 7am. Is that correct?

If 7am is the early time, as most of the masaajid are closed until close to 1030 here, how might one then get the greater reward?

verily the cure for all ignorance is to question.
