As Salaamu 'Alaikum wa Rahmatu Allaah ... I recently read two fataawaa from the book "Fataawaa Ramadhaan" volume one, which, I believe, is published by our noble brothers at fatwa-online, from Shaikh Ibn Baaz (rahmatu Allaahi 'alaihi) and Shaikh Saalih Al-Fawzaan, hafidhahu Allaah, that the smoke of incense breaks one's fast as it enters the nose and effects the brain. The fataawaa did not provide any evidence to this effect so I was wondering if any brothers here have asked the 'Ulamaa concerning this issue or have researched it themselves? Specifically, I am looking for the evidence in this regard and to what extent it applies to other types of smoke which may also enter the nose and effect the brain.
