As salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullaah Has anybody heard of an English translation of al Bidaayah wan Nihaayah by Ibn Katheer? Somebody mentioned to me that such a translation exists but didn't have any additional information. Barakallaahu feek Lougain

I believe about ten years ago I had bought a very abridged 1 volume English copy for my brother, from Egypt. This was a long time ago, so, I don't remeber exactly who the publisher was or anything. Keep in mind that the original Arabic is 21 volumes, so, 1 volume REALLY doesn't do it any justice. If you read Arabic, I can send you the Arabic. ..Unity with those who seek to poison, distort, or dilute the Sunnah with their innovations? NEVER!!!

As salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullaah Barakallaahu feek akhana but I don't understand Arabic wa Allaahul musta'aan.. I even have the Arabic volumes already but can't access the information.. Because of this I would love to see this work translated. I'm really interested in Islamic history in general but also the final book about the fitan and malaahim. Subhanallaah.. looks like there is no easy way.. lol.. As salaamu alaikum Lougain
