a salafi brother is letting his heart, wa Allahu 'alam, put him in a very bad place. if anyone can either call one of the mashaykh or if one of the students can bring proofs and answer these questions. the situation: the brother divorced his wife for the third time (she asked for these divorces and he said i divorce you). they had been counseled by the imaam of the community during this process.he tells his father of the divorce and his father says" how can you take me out of something Allah put me in"? then told him the ayah in suurah an Nisaa 35 ( making this an rukan of divorce). this from a man who told his son about a hadith that said if he knew something to be true but his heart wasn't satisfied with it he could go with his heart!my understanding is he was tlking about the religion and not the dunyaa. so the brother sat with his father and her mother and stepfather and decided,that becuse of this ayah that the marriage was still valid.they continue in this situation for 2 months now. also when he divorced his wife she immediately uncovered and is in this condition until now. my questions: is the divorce valid and what is the tafseer of this ayat? what is the condition of his father (because of his statements)? does the community have a right to know if this marraige is not valid and they continue on as if it is, refusing the proofs that are presented. ..."Know that the Religion is what came from Allaah, the Blessed and Most High. It is not something left to the intellects and opinions of men. Knowledge of it is what comes from Allaah and His Messenger (Salallaahu Alayhi wa Salam)"...Imam Barbahaaree
