From the magnificent book ?Silsilah al-Ahaadeeth as-Saheehah wa shai min fiqhihaa was fawaaidihaa? by the Noble Imaam, the Mujaddid, the Mujaahid, the Muhaddith Abu Abdur Rahmaan Muhammad Naasir ud-Deen al-Albaanee (rahimahullaah).

Hadeeth No. 627, Page 203

quote:

From Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahualaihi wasallam) said
?When one of you enters upon his muslim brother and he serves him food, then he should eat it and not ask about it, and when he gives him something to drink he should drink it and not ask about it.?

The Shaikh discuss the chain and mentions that it is saheeh, he (rahimahullaah) then goes on to say:

quote:

It is apparent that the hadeeth refers to the one upon whom there is little doubt that he is muslim brother, whose wakth is halaal and he fears the prohibited. Otherwise it is permissible rather obligatory to question (the host), as is the case of those muslims who live in the lands of kufr. So it is necessary to ask these people and their likes about whether or not, for example, their meat has been has been sacrificed according to Islamic rites.
