Question: A woman has got a medical issue ( kidney problem ), so She cannot fast the whole month of Ramadan. What is the ruling for this type of person? Answer Sheikh 'Ubayd said if fasting affects her health then she is not to fast but to fulfill the fast later when she is able. sheikh fawzan says (mulakhas fiqhi) if is thought she will not get better then she feeds a poor person every day half saa' (1 Saa'=4 mudds i.e 4 handfulls) of food (food that is common in that country - sheikh ubayd adds) قال تعالى:{إنا نحن نزلنا الذكر وإنا له لحافظون} قال الشيخ السعدي - رحمه الله - في تفسيره (3/31): " فلا يحرف محرف معنى من معانيه( القرآن ) إلا وقيض الله له من يبين الحق المبين وهذا من أعظم آيات الله ونعمه على عباده المؤمنين".
