As salaamu ailaykum wa rahmatullah. I have a concern about how I go about getting a khulah. Without going into a bunch of details, I can say i have a valid reason(with proof) to ask for one. Aside from that, my husband is currently in federal prison and has been gone for 16.5 months. He still has another 4 years to do. I have asked him for a khulah and he told me no. I have been trying to get in touch with an imaam who can grant it for me and I have not had any success. The city I live in doesn't have a big community of muslims and the masjid doesn't have an imaam. What can I do? UmmTalhah Siddiqah bint Matthew Wilmington, NC
