Topic: THE CAESAR CUT!!!

  AS SALAAMU 'ALAIKUM WA RAHMATULLAH,

My question is to seek some benefit for myself firstly and for the Salafees(mainly from the west).

Here in Amrikaa there is a hair cut called "THE CAESAR" which of course resembles that of the Kafr Julius Caesar or the people of his times, Wallahu 'Alam(PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG,PLEASE!). Well, I myself used to get this cut.

**The cut is a low cut hair style shaped up around the forehead ,back and around the ears. The hair is all one length. The hair is not cut too close to resemble a bald head. One leaves enough hair to be noticeable(NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE LOW SHAVED HEAD).

Is this resembling the kuffar in their hairstyles?
Is it PERMISSIBLE TO GET THIS CUT?

*YAH MOOSAA , INSHA 'ALLAH YOU KNOW THIS TYPE OF CUT AND CAN ASK THE ULEMAH OR IF YOU HAVE INFO ON SOMEONE OF THE ULEMAH WHO HAVE ANSWERED THIS TYPE OF QUESTION. PLEASE POST IT HERE FOR US TO BENEFIT, INSHA 'ALLAH.

  As-Salaamu'Alaikum wa'Rahma tu'Llah,

I also have this question and have yet to find a dhaleel. A brother once told me, because as of now I get this type of haircut/ shape-up the akh Zaahir, barak'Allahu feek, mentioned but didn't call it that name to intentionally not associate it the kaafir Ceaser, but for sure this haircut is well know by the brothers as "The Ceaser," it was said to me that cutting the hair in this manner is HARAAM because the Prophet (sal'Allahu'alayhe wa'salaam) used to cut his hair all one length or grow it all one length, not edge, or shape-up his hair. Secondly, lining-up the upper-portion of the mustache (Note: not touching the beard at all period!) as well as the bottom of the mustache is also HARAAM because the brother's dhaleel was that the Khula'faa ar'Rashideen Al-Mahdi'yeen (radi'Allahu'ta'Ala anhum ajma'een) were seen putting the miswaak to the bottom of the mustaches, what fell below it was clipped, no mention of the upper-portion of the mustache being clipped. Please help ya'eebadi'llah ya'salafiyoon, athariyoon, sunniyoon, in bringing the haqq to this question!

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE ASK AHLUL ILM ABOUT THIS TYPE OF "SHAPING UP" OF THE HAIR LINE... ARE WE TO LET THE HAIR TO JUST GROW WITHOUT SHAPING UP THE FRONT(FOREHEAD PART),AROUND THE EARS,BACK OF THE NECK, AND THE SIDEBURNS??

IS GETTING THESE "CAESAR" SHAPE UPS HARAAM? I MEAN, DOES THIS GO AGAINST THE HADEETH OF SHAVING ALL OF THE HAIR OR LETTING IT GROW EVENLY?

I am not sure where the hadith can be found but I do recall sometime back a hadith I read about a man and his son, I think.  Everything that follows is a summary of what I remember reading:

The son/boy had a hair cut in which the sides were shaved and the top of it was left alone.  The messenger of Allaah, salallahu alayhe wa salam, saw it and told the man to either cut all of it or none of it.  This was about ten years ago that I read the hadith and I am not sure of where I read it and it's authenticity.  Maybe it is a starting point for the answer being sought here wallahu 'alum.  If it can be verified and explained then we can surely benefit from it, insha Allaah Tabarak wa Ta'ala.

Subhanakallahumma wa bihamdika wa ashahadu an la ilaha ilah anta wastaghfirooka wa atoobu elayke.
