WHAT IS THE PROPER WAY TO ASK ANOTHER BROTHER HOW HE AND HIS FAMILY ARE DOING?  MEANING NOT TO GO OVERBOARD...WHERE SHOULD WE STOP?.....IS THERE ANYTHING FROM THE PROPHET SALLALLAHU ALAIHI WA SALLAM OR THE COMPANIONS ON HOW TO GREET AND ASK ABOUT THE WELL BEING OF A BROTHER AND HIS FAMILY?......INSHA 'ALLAH  THIS WILL BE OF BENEFIT FOR US....AS WE MAY ASK TOO MUCH SOMETIMES ....MAY ALLAH GRANT US TAWFEEQ.....AMEEN!

*AND INSHA 'ALLAH IT WILL APPLY FOR SISTERS UPON OTHER SISTERS...

I would be interested to know how those two general hadeeth are to be applied to a man asking his brother about how his wife is, and which books of sharh can we find the 'ulamaa' applying either of these two hadeeth to a man asking about another man's wife (for example he wants to know if his sick wife's health has improved, or similar scenarios)...
