A brother asked me about bookshops in Jeddah. He would like an inclusive answer. I was only able to tell him about the book shops by Masjid Ameer Met'ab like Al-Mu-ayyid and those around it. Perhaps one of the brothers from Jeddah who knows about the bookshops in Jeddah could give us an overview of who has the books to help this brother and myself and anyone else interested...? السلام عليكم ورحمة الله أخي أبي العباس هل ما زلت تنتظر الجواب من أهل جدة بخصوص هذا الموضوع، فانا لم أقرأه الى اليوم وآسف على ان اى واحد من أهل جدة لم يجب عليك ختى اللآن، على كل حال أراكم الليلة عند درس الشيخ ربيع (منهج اللانبياء)) وساخبرك عن المكتبات ان شاء الله عندها بالتفصيل. والسلام

The brother, 'Abdur-Razzaaq, hafithahullaah, mentioned to me that most of the bookstores in Juddah are found in the Jaami'ah district (Thugr District). There are a number of bookstores there all huddled around the Masjid Ameer Met'ab. The bookstore "Al-Asaalah" is known to carry good salafee books (and tapes), but they only carry a small selection of small books or books that only run into a few volumes. assalam u alaikum we the brothers at darulhadeeth would first like to ask Allah to bless those who are firm upon this minhaj, for calling to it and implementing it within themselves. BarakAllahu feekum brothers and may Allah allow us to continue striving hard and firm in the path of this da'wah! just for the benefit concerning some bookstores in jeddah, as the brothers have informed you, most of them if not all of them are in Al Jami'a area also known as As Sagr area. which is close to the university there. but just for the added benefit, if you leave the area around the masjid Amir Mut'ib, and you head back towards mecca road, you find a few stationary stores on your righthand side. if you stop there, you can find about 5 more books stores that are rarely visited by most. even one of them sells used books for low prices. another store can be located in the As Salamah area right infront of the masjid that the Qaree (reciter) Abdullah Basfer recites at (Ikwani masjid with an Ikwani Imam!) its another branch from a bookstore located in Al Jami'a area. you can also find another branch of the Al Muaeed bookstore on sitten street in the Al Bawadi area on the same side of the street as saudi american bank. thats all i have in mind now. once again, barakAllahu fekum assalam u alaikum wa rahmatullahi
