Topic: Does This Fulfill the Conditions of Hijaab?

Bismillaah Alhamdulillaah Wa saw laatu wa salaamu 'alaa Rasoolillaah

As-salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh.

If a sister wears her clothes that she would wear in front of her mahraam(for example a long dress)

Then over this she puts an over garment [a one piece large dress (covers the length of body from shoulders to below feet), that goes over the head, has sleeves, is very wide as to not show any of her shape and is not see through at all].

Then she ties her head with a scarf that covers her hair.

Over the scarf she puts a large hijaab that covers most of the scarf, her ears and neck, the shape of her shoulders and the whole of her upper body.

She then puts on one of two types of niqaab:

1. a niqaab that ties around the head, has a piece of material that covers the top of the head, covering the face...leaving the eyes exposed.

2. a niqaab that only has a band that ties around the head, leaving the part of the hijaab on the top of her head exposed, covering the face...leaving both eyes exposed.

She also wears thick socks in case the movement of her feet when she walks causes her feet to show from under her jilbaab.

Does all of this fulfill the conditions of hijaab (assuming her behaviour is in accord with these conditions) or does she need to do something else?

May Allaah reward those who want to reply but refrain for lack of knowledge and may He reward those who reply with knowledge-based answers, with good in this world and good in the hereafter.  Aameen

Please reading the following article inshallah there is a lot of benefit in it concerning hijaab and the proper way to do it.

Jazaakallaahu khair for you reply bro. Mahmoud.Somali.

I have a question:

Is the site you referred me to a clear salafi site?  I ask because I have never heard of it and I want to make sure the source where I take from is Sahih.

If so, I have another question pertaining to the first condition mentioned in the article:  (This question is for anyone who has access to the sahih/relevant information)

Can the jilbaab be two pieces (if it covers the entire body) or is it obligatory for it to be one piece?

Again, may Allaah reward those who want to help but refrain from replying for lack of knowledge and may He reward those who reply with knowledge-based answers, with good in this world and good in the hereafter.  Aameen

As-Salaamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullaah

I have one bit of advice insha'Allaah,

I learned (the hard way) that the website mentioned above has some statements from the people of bid'ah in it's articles. Based on my experience, I would caution anyone who takes anything from that site to double check it for authenticity and also to check the source/translator etc..  And may Allaah reward our brother Mahmoud Somali for his intention, Ameen.

Jazaakallaahu khair Bro. Ibrahim.bukhari.
Also, Jazaakallaahu khair Bro. Mahmoud.Somali for quickly removing the link and may Allaah ground all of us firmly upon the Blessed da'watus-salafiyyah.

I would still appreciate if anyone, who has access to the sahih and relevant knowledge, can aid me with this question.
