Assalaamu'alaikum warahmatullah Alhamdulillahi rabbin 'alameen Allahumma Salli 'alaa Muhammadin wa 'alaa aali Muhammad Dear brothers, I am staying in Singapore and the Medical bills here are ridiculously high. My father had a stroke recently and his hospital bill amounted to up to 13k singaporean dollars for just 2 weeks. It turned out he had an insurance with the government and it covered all his costs. But i can't imagine what the situation would be like if he did not have insurance. All my money will be wiped out and i will be forced to ask people for money. The goverment here in Singapore wants ppl to take insurance to cover their medical costs. Otherwise, life would be made extremely difficult for those who have no insurance. I am planning to take government insurance (CPF) for health through my CPF and that is only to cover the ridiculous cost of hospitalisation fee over here in Singapore if i have to be warded for some diesease (a'aoothzubillah). What is the ruling in this case? any brother can help me with this? Jazaakullahu Khairan. There is no deity which has the right to be worshipped but Allah..
