As salaamu alaykum brothers and sisters,
I've heard from some brothers that there are salafees near hartford/Windsor in Connecticut. Is the Imaam of the Medinah Masjid there a Salafee? Is there any other Salafee Masjid or Islaamic center in Connecticut?

Wa 'Alaikum As Salaam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuh
Alhamdulillah.....I live in Hartford and have been here since March 2007. I am Salafi and know of no Salafi Masjids in this area, but I am a sister and spend the majority of my time indoors whilst receiving teachings from various Salafi rooms on Paltalk and the Salafi websites.
A Muslim asked me recently when I was out on an errand, "why don't you come to the Masjid?'
The Masjid in Hartford is from W.D. Muhammad, so that answers their question even though they see me in full cover (niqab, overhead abaya, and gloves).
May Allah (azza wa jall) make it possible for a Salafi Masjid to be established here (in case the one mentioned in Windsor is not) for the brothers and sisters (who attend the masjid from time to time).

As salaamu alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh sister,
JazakAllaahu khayran for the info. I believe that Madina Masjid(the biggest Masjid in that region) is not from W.D. Muhammad. The Imaam in that Masjid has studied in Al-Azhar in Egypt and then apparently under some Salafee mashaykh(but this needs to be confirmed). He is originally from Timbaktu, Mali(West Africa).
There is another masjid in Hartford which is from W.D. Muhammad. That is the Masjid that you are talking about.
