In The Name of Allah The Most Merciful, The Bestower of His Mercy

Today (January 9, 2008)our beloved Sheikh Saleh al Fowzan delivered a speech in Al Ja'mee al Kabir in the city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.  The topic of the lecture was: The Foundation in which Ahlu Sunnah Build Their Beliefs.

The lecture was filled with beneficial knowledge and advice.  Toward the end of the lecture during the question and answer period, the Sheikh was asked the following question:

There are two (new) books present in the bookstores

1. In Defence of The Book of Allah.... (Al Azeez Al Jabar)
2. Exposing the Falsity of Sufism

Both by Dr. Rabe'a bin Hadee al Makhali.  Do you advise the reading of these books?

Sheikh Saleh al Fowzan responded:  I swear by Allah I have not read these books.  The author is good, well known, and a scholar, but I have not read these books so I can't judge them.

(end of question and answer)

There were also 2 questions asked about joining with deviant groups for the purpose of strengthing Islam against the common enemy.  The Sheikh responded that this unity can never be possible with the presence of disagreement in matters of belief. We will search for the question and answer on the audio recording and give the exact translation soon insha Allah, so that clarity can be brought to a common day methodology adopted by some callers to Islam in the West.

May Allah preserve Sheikh Saleh al Fowzan and Sheikh Rabe'e bin Hadee, and may Allah correct the hearts of those that speak ill of either of them.

Praise Of Shaykh Muqbil For Shaykh Rabee Bin Haadee al-Madhkhalee

It is not hidden from anyone who knows the efforts of the people of hadeeth that Shaykh Muqbil bin Haadee rahimahullaah is one of the biggest scholars of hadeeth of our time. Anyone who reads his thahqeeq of Musthadrak alaa Saheehayn would know his level of knowledge in hadeeth, given that the likes of adh-Dhahabee authored thalkhees and others.

In the introduction to this work that spans around 5 volumes filled with beneficial knowledge regarding the narrators and his valuable comments on the grading of the ahadeeth of al-Haakim rahimahullaah.

He also refers to Shaykh Rabee Bin Haadee al-Madhkhalee hafidhahullaah's thahqeeqaat. For example in the introduction he mentions the beneficial checking of the Shaykh on 'An-Nuqaat Alaa Kitaab Ibn-us-Salaah' and quotes relevant passages.

Verily, it is the people of fadhl who know of the people of fadhl.

Attached is an audio of Shaykh Muqbil rahimahullaah, his praise of Shaykh Rabee Ibn Haadee hafidhahullaah. May Allaah either guide those who speak ill of him or break their backs! Aameen.
