IN THE NAME OF ALLAH THE MOST GRACIOUS THE MOST MERCIFUL
About four weeks ago I call Shiek Faalih to ask him
about going to Bahrain and taking knowledge from Shiek
Fawzee. The following is a transcript of the
conversation. It is recorded.
Rasheed: As-salaamu alaikum wa rahamutu ALLAHU
Sheik Faalih: Wa laikum salaam wa rahamtu ALLAH.
Rasheed: I am requesting to speak with Sheik Faalih.
Sheik Faalih: Na'am
Rasheed: Na'am, I'm sorry for disturbing you Sheik, I
have one very important question if you have the time.
Sheik Faalih: Na'am, please
Rasheed: Some brothers wish to go to Bahrain and take
knowledge from Sheik Fawzee Al Athari. We don't have
doubt about our Shiek; but after the fitna of Abi Hasan,
we are afraid to travel to any land without asking the
People of Knowledge first. So is it good if I go to
Bahrain and sit with him?
Shiek Faalih: You can sit with him and gain knowledge
from him, but he is not from the Major Scholars. Now, we
are making clear for the brothers the difference between
the Major Scholars and returning the affairs back to
them and the students of knowledge, those that are upon
good and upon the minhaj. So he (Sheik Fawzee) is upon
good and upon the minhaj. You can benefit from him. He
is salafi. But he is a student, he has not yet reached
the level of the Major Scholars, those whom the affairs
are returned to from Ahlus Sunnah. You know this, if you
know this then you can get benefit from him. And if you
find something that needs to be returned to the Major
Scholars then return it to the Major Scholars.
You can benefit from him, you can call him, you can read
what he writes from books. He is NOT from the people of
bida, he is not from those who have a deviant minhaj.
But it is possible that he could make a ruling where he
will not have the same understanding as the Major
Scholars, those that have the precise understanding.
This is the same speech that we have said about Ali
Hasan Al Hameed, and Saleem Al Hilaali, and Abdul Malik
Ar Ramadanee. It is obigatory that the brothers know the
difference between the Major Sholars and the students of
knowledge. So (they will not be mislead) if a students
opposes the Major Scholars, especially in the affairs of
minhaj, and aqeedah, and wala wa bara and things like
this.
And Fawzee Al Athari is better(ahsan hala) than those I
just mentioned(ie:Ali Hasan, Saleem Al Hilaali, Abdul
Malik). His condition is better, and his is better with
clinging to Salafiya, better than them in minhaj.
His minhaj is better, better than them. Na'am. Hayaka
ALLAH.
Rasheed: Tayib jazaka ALLAHU kharain Ya Shiek, Ya Sheik
we love you for the sake of ALLAH.
Sheik Faalih: He is better in minhaj than them. huh
Rasheed: I said, we here in America love you for the
sake of ALLAH
Shiek Faalih: May ALLAH love you. May ALLAH guide you.
