AsSalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullah wa barakaatuhu

Brothers and Sisters with all the disturbing events that have and are happening in the Muslim countries like Egypt, please make dua for the stabilisation of these countries and the rectification of the rulers as Fudayl Ibn Iyaad mentions below
quote:

Praying for the Muslim Ruler

It is reported that Al-Fudayl bin Ayyad [Allah have mercy on him] said, 'If I had one supplication that was going to be answered I would make it for the ruler (imam), for the wellbeing and righteousness of the imam means wellbeing for the land and its people.'

Al-Dhahabi, Siyar A'lam Al-Nubala` in his biography of Al-Fudayl b. Ayyad.

Points to note

Wanting good for the Muslim rulers and supplicating to Allah for them features as an important aspect of the creed of Ahl Al-Sunnah wa Al-Jamaa'ah, and distinguishes them from the extremist ideology of the Khawarij sect. This has been recorded in the classical works of Sunni aqidah, for example:

Al-Barbahari (Sharh Al-Sunnah p113, 114) states, 'If you see a man supplicating against the ruler, know that he is a heretic (sahib hawa), and if you see a man supplicating for the ruler, know that he is a Sunni insha Allah.'

Al-Imam Al-AjurrI (d360H) states (Al-Shari'ah Vol 1 p371), 'I have mentioned warnings against the ways of the Khawarij that convey the message for everyone who Allah protects against the ways of the Khawarij, and who does not hold the views of the Khawarij, but is [instead] patient over the injustice of the rulers and who prays for the wellbeing and righteousness of the rulers, and who does Hajj and Jihad behind the rulers against every enemy of the Muslims, and who prays the Jumu'ah and Eid prayers behind the rulers. Whoever fits this description is upon the Straight Path; insha Allah.'

We have many fatawas from the ulema regarding the impermissibilty of demonstrations and rebellions against the rulers.

Shaykh Al Fawzaan; Shaykh Bin Baaz and others on demonstraions and revolts

In fact there are hadiths on the impermissibility of publicly rebuking the ruler; nevermind demonstrating and rebelling against them.

On the Authority of Ziyaad bin Kusayb al 'Adawee who said 'I was with Abu Bakrah, [may Allah be pleased with him] sitting under the pulpit [of the ruler] Ibn Aamir as he was delivering a sermon and he was wearing a fine garment. So Abu Bilaal said 'Looka t our ruler wearing the garment of the sinners!' So Abu Bakrah [may Allah be pleased with him] said 'Be Silent!! I heard the Messenger of Allah [sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam] say

' Whoever sends scorn upon the one whom Allah has given rulership to upon the earth, Allah will scorn him.'

[Declared hasan by Shaykh Al Albaani in his checking of Ibn Abee Asim's book As Sunnah]

Please make dua for these countries and for the rulers and for all the mashayikh and tulaabul ilm who are residing in these countries or have made hijrah to these countries and the common people. As the state of affairs are worrying for many people.

Nu'man bin Bashir (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: Messenger of Allah  said, 'The believers in their mutual kindness, compassion and sympathy are just like one body. When one of the limbs suffers, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever'.
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

We all see the state of Iraaq and other Muslim countries where over throwing of the rulers have occurred; do we really want another of OUR Muslim countries to be in turmoil like that?!

Abu Musa (May Allah bepleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah  said, 'The relationship of the believer with another believer is like (the bricks of) a building, each strengthens the other.' He  illustrated this by interlacing the fingers of both his hands. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

And the above was an attempt to implement the hadith of our Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi wa ala aalihi wa sallam, when he said

'Ad-Deenu naseehah, Ad-Deenu naseehah, Ad-Deenu naseehah'. So we said 'To who yaa Rasoolullah?' He said 'To Allaah and His Book, and His Messenger, and the heads of the ummah, (the leaders of the nation) and its masses.'

So may Allah protect the rulers and us; guide them and us to the haqq and firmness upon it; rectify all of our affairs; the affairs of the Muslim rulers and all those they rule over.

May Allah forgive us of our sins.

Subhaanak Allahumma wa bihamdika Ash Shadu an Laa ilaha illa anta; wastagfiruka wa atoobu ilayk.

Abdullah b.Umar May Allah be pleased with them both said:
'Every bidah(religious innovation) is misguidance, even if people think it is good.'
Al-Lalikaii in Sharh Usıl Iıtiqıd Ahl Al-Sunnah wa Al-Jama'ah Vol 1. P134, no.111
