--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And from the types of worship is Tawakkul, and it is Tafweedhul Umoor [to entrust all the affairs to] Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aalaa and to place ones' dependence and reliance up Him, Allaahu Ta'aalaa said:

" and put your trust in Allâh if you are believers indeed."
(Al-Ma'idah 5:23)

And Ta'aalaa said:

"So worship Him (O Muhammad) and put your trust in Him."
(Hud 11:123)

So it is coupled with worship:

" and put your trust in Allâh if you are believers indeed."
(Al-Ma'idah 5:23)

This is restricted, and that is because "taqdeemu jaar wal-majroor alal fi'l yufeedu al-hasr"
whenever the preposition of Jaar and it's article preceedes a verb this context indicates exclusiveness.

"And upon Allaah"

Means not upon anyone else.

"So rely upon Him if you truly believe."

"The believers are only those who, when Allâh is mentioned, feel a fear in their hearts and when His Verses (this Qur'ân) are recited unto them, they (i.e. the Verses) increase their Faith; and they put their trust in their Lord (Alone); (Al-Anfal 8:2)

"And upon their Lord"

Meaning: not upon anyone else, so Tawwakul is Ibaadah and it is not permissible to direct it to anyone except Allaah, as for Tawwakul in that which a created being has the ability to do as in one entrusting someone to fulfill ones' need or one entrust someone to do an action for him, then this is permissible. The messenger [sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam] entrusted someone to buy something for him and he entrusted the workers as representatives of him in some of the affairs, Ta'aalaa says concerning the companions of the Kahf that they said:

" So send one of you with this silver coin of yours to the town, and let him find out which is the good lawful food, and bring some of that to you. And let him be careful and let no man know of you."

(Al-Kahf 18:19)

And this is a representative agent, so this representative agent is permissible, as for the Tawwakal then it is specifically for Allaah Azza wa Jall.
