Messenger of Allaah: Renew your Eeman; Frequently say 'La illaaha il Allaah'

The following are excerpts from the highly beneficial book 40 Hadith On the Virtues of La illaaha il Allaah, by Shaikh Muhammad bin Marzuq ad-Da'jaani, with an introduction and endorsement from Shaikh Saalih al-Fawzaan

quote:
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (radiallaahu 'anhu) that the Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said:
quote:
Renew your Eemaan (faith). It was said: O Messenger of Allaah! How do we renew our Eeman (faith)?  He said: Frequently say, 'La illaaha il Allaah' (none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah).
Reported by Imam Ahmad and at-Tabaraani. Al-Haythimi said: "The men of Ahmad are trustworthy."

Here are some of the benefits of the above excerpt:
quote:
- Clarifying that there is not a better way to renewing one's Eeman than to say, 'La illaaha il Allaah.' Also included is that there is not any reminder stronger than the reminder of Tawheed, its virtue and importance.

-  The cause for [Eeman] faith to increase is the statement, 'La illaaha il Allaah,' whereas it strengthens the bond of the slave to his Lord, if he knows the actual reality to 'La illaaha il Allaah.' And that its meaning is: None has the right to be worshipped in truth except Allaah...

quote:
It is reported on the authority of Abu Dharr (radiallaahu 'anhu) that he said: I said, 'O Messenger of Allaah, give me some advice.' He said:
quote:
If you do an evil deed, then follow it up with a good deed; it will erase it... He said: 'I then asked the Messenger of Allaah: is 'La illaaha il Allaah' from the good deeds?' He said: 'It is the best of the deeds.'
Reported by Imam Ahmad, and Shaykh al-Albaani authenticated it.

Here is one of the benefits of the above excerpt:
quote:
-A clarification that the best of deeds and the weightiest on the scale is the saying, 'La illaaha il Allaah' (None has the right to be worshipped except Allaah).

Subhanak Allaahuma wa bihamdika ash-hadu anlaa illaaha illa anta astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayk

If I said anything correct, then it is from Allaah (subhanahu wa taa'ala), and if I erred, then that is from me and shaytan.
