Hamza Yusuf's Attempted Distortions and Fabrications Against al-Tahawi's Creed
Al-Ṭaḥāwī's creed is founded upon the affirmation of Allāh's Ṣifāt Fiʿliyyah which means that it is an invalidation and falsification of the premise that both the Ashʿarī and Māturidī schools are based upon, which is negation of what they call ḥawādith (events), and by which they really mean Allāh's chosen actions (afʿāl ikhtiyāriiyyah). Al-Ṭaḥawī destroyed the foundation of the Kullābī, Ashʿarī, Māturīdī schools in this regard. With this simple fact established, attempts by the Ashʿarites to misappropriate al-Ṭaḥāwī's creed is an extremely dishonest exercise, and this is what Hamza Yusuf attempted in his translation of this creed.

I noticed a typo on page 7 of the pdf
"which was heard by Jibrīl land conveyed"
change to "and conveyed"

JazaakAllaahu khayr. There were a few typos, they have been changed and the article has been updated with an extra two or so pages, so please re-download. These PDFs are just previews and they are being reviewed for language, typos, formatting etc.

Please continue this noble effort by addressing some of the other major statements of misguidance that have been spread by hamza yusuf. especially as regards sufism and his translation of the burdah. and his many western liberal views that he has tried to justify islamically
