An idol on display near Miami in Florida is being fitted with a Global Positioning System (GPS) device after the original figurine was stolen.
Dina Cellini, who oversees the display, says the statues of Mary and Joseph will also be fitted with a satellite tracking device to deter thieves.
She said: "I don't anticipate this will ever happen again, but we may need to rely on technology to save our saviour."
Allaah says in the Qur'aan:
"[Meaning] Say (O Muhammad to mankind): "How do you worship besides Allaah something which has no power either to harm or to benefit you? But it is Allaah Who is the All¬Hearer, All-Knower." (Al-Ma'idah 5:76)
What kind of "gods" needs to be fitted with a GPS to deter thieves?
How foolish are these ignorant people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians). Do they not ponder on what foolish and sinful deeds they are committing night and day?
Allaah says in the Qur'aan:
"Say (O Muhammad): "O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians): Come to a word that is just between us and you, that we worship none but Allaah, and that we associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allaah. Then, if they turn away, say: "Bear witness that we are Muslims." (Aali Imran 3:64)
