Bismi'llaah wal hamdu lilaah was-salaatu wa salaam 'ala Rasulilaah wa ba'd: as-salaamu 'alaikum, Can someone please provide me with statements translated into Urdu & French (from the people of Knowledge) regarding the permissibilty of calling oneself Salafi. Also any statements from the Salaf on the ascription to the "Salaf" would be appreciated. It would be helpful if these were accompanied with english translations (but not absolutely necessary). Please send as soon as possible and may Allaah reward those who are willing to help!

as-salaamu alaykum wa rahmatullaah, just a small naseehah, alhamdulillah we have an abundant amount of brothers upon salafiyyah who speak french, perhaps we can contact one of them and ask them for some of their articles dealing with salafiyyah and other issues as well. I say this because this way of transmission is the tareeqah of the yahood and the nasaara which lead them astray. Namely, translating a text from a semetic language to a anglo saxon language to a latin lanuage which is similiar to what the christians did as well as the jews reading the taurah in hebrew and giving it's tafseer in arabic. I hope this is clear wa billahi tawfeeq. Abu Ukkaasha

Assalaamu Alaykum... It would be an idea to perhaps get hold of some tapes of Shaykh Badee' Uddin as-Sindee' (Rahimullaah).. I say this because He has a few cassettes, which I know of, and have seen (I say this because I dont speak Urdu - so I've read the labels, or other brothers who speak the language have told me). One particular title comes to mind "Who are the Ahlul-Hadeeth?". Baarak'Allaahu Feekum! Wassalaamu Alaykum
