As for Shaykh 'Ubayd, this is also another rough summary of what can be found on Sahab.net. For the full bio of both Shaykhs, refer to Sahab. He is: 'Ubayd bin 'Abdillaah bin Sulaymaan al-Hamdaanee al-Jaabiree, from the tribe of Banoo Jaabir. He was born in the year 1357H in an area of al-Madeenah an-Nabawiyyah. In the year 1365H he took his primary level education. In 1374H, he settled in al-Madeenah, and due to family-related circumstances, he withdrew from his studies for a period of time. Then, in the year 1381, he resumed studies beginning in Daarul-Hadeeth of al-Madeenah, then the Ma'hadul-'Ilmee, then College of Sharee'ah in the Islaamic University. The Shaykh (hafithahullaah) graduated in the year 1392H with a rating of imtiyaaz (excellence) and was the first of his class. The Shaykh later went on to obtain his Masters in Tafseer. His mashaayikh include: In Daarul-Hadeeth, Shaykh Sayfur-Rahmaan bin Ahmad and Shaykh 'Ammaar bin 'Abdillaah. In Ma'hadul-'Ilmee, Shaykh 'Abdul-'Azeez bin 'Abdillaah bin 'Abdil-'Azeez al-Khudayree, Shaykh 'Awdah bin Talqah al-Ahmadee, Shaykh Dakheelullaah bin Khaleefah al-Khulaytee, and Shaykh 'Abdur-Rahmaan bin 'Abdillaah al-'Ajlaan and Shaykh Muhammad bin 'Abdillaah al-'Ajlaan. From among his mashaayikh that he studied under in the Islaamic University are Ash-Shaykh al-'Allaamah al-Muhaddith Hammaad bin Muhammad al-Ansaaree (rahimahullaah), Ash-Shaykh al-'Allaamah al-Muhaddith 'Abdul-Muhsin Al-'Abbaad. Shaykh 'Ubayd was an Imaam in Masjid as-Sabt in Madeenah from 1387 to 1392 H. Then he ? hafithahullah- was a teacher in Jiddah in the Junior High school 'Umar bin 'Abdil-'Azeez. This was until 1396H. He was a daa'iyyah in Markazud-Da'wah wal-Irshaad in Madeenah from 1396-1404. From 1404-1417, Shaykh 'Ubayd was a teacher in the Islaamic University of Madeenah. And Allaah knows best. May Allaah preserve both of them and allow us to continue benefitting from them.
