Salaam aleykum wa rahmatullah my brothers
I'm new here, and mashAllah very amazing site.
I really don't know why but something tells me "be a salafi" but then I don't know much about this. So I would like to ask you who are the salafi, can I be one and why should we be salafi?
With all pure intentions I'm asking this so i can know truth and so I can please Allah swt by chosing the right way and staying away from the wrong way.

Assalamu Alaykum, brother, thank you for the posts. The posts on "therighteouspath" didn't seem to lead anywhere, but the two articles were very helpful. I see that Salafi is simply following the Quran and Sunnah, as I have read. Is there something I must do formally to become a Salafi, or is it a process, say study and application, and may I call myself a Salafi?

Truly it is the religion of al-Islaam that Allaah perfected and completed that is "amazing," and the Salafees who contribute to this site relay the beneficial and authentic work of the genuine scholars who teach and spread the true religion of Al-Islam to whomever Allaah has guided to receive it, and whomsoever's heart Allaah has opened for it.
Know - may Allaah bless you - that Authentic Knowledge is Allaah said, His Messenger said, the Companions said.
The Muslims upon the correct Islam - The Saved Sect from the 73 - understand the whole of the religion [every ayah and every hadeeth] the way Prophet Muhammad (salallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) specifically explained it to his companions, and therefore you find the Salafees singling out Allaah with all worship, singling out Allaah in His Lordship, singling out Allaah in His Names and Attributes; and following Allaah's Messenger Muhammad (salallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) in [url=http://www.aqidah.com/creed/]'Aqeedah[/url], Manhaj, Worship, Character - and absolutely nobody in opposition to him; and [url=http://www.salafitalk.net/st/viewmessages.cfm?Forum=8&Topic=10613]not denying any ayah or any authentic hadeeth[/url], nor attributing to Allaah what He denies for Himelf, nor denying for Allaah what He attributes to Himself.
This - may Allaah bless you, my brother - is the correct Islam, which is truly devoid of opinions or desires or emotion watering it down.
So you may not realize it, but you are amazed with Islam. And for that, Inni uhibuka fillaah (I love you for the sake of Allaah), and we invite you to the path of Prophet Muhammad and his companions, the only path that leads to Jannatul Na'eem (Paradise of Delight).

1) Show you the great & huge importance the Salafi's (in following the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلام's example) give to Tawheed & 'Aqeedah (Islamic monotheism and Creed) as these form the basis & foundation of one's practice of Islaam.
