The Imaam ash-Shaafi'ee of our time, ash-Shaikh Muhammad bin Saalih al-Uthaymeen, rahimahullaah said:
"If the wind damages (something when it blows), then it is haraam to revile (curse or repudiate) it.
Because it is (something that was created as a) renderer of services, a disposer (of important affairs) similar to the Sun which sometimes harms, but in spite of that it likewise reviling it is not allowed.
The origins of the wind are four (4):
1-South 2-West 3-North 4-East
And that which is between them is called an-Nakbaa'"*
*It is an epithet applied to any wind that blows obliquely, taking a direction between [the directions of] two [cardinal] winds.
